JEDDAH: Two-time Grammy-winning global superstar Tyla and Egyptian hip-hop icon Marwan Moussa have been confirmed as the latest headline performers at the Formula One Saudi Arabian Grand Prix later this year.
The Saudi Motorsport Company is promoting the race and announced on Monday that Tyla will perform on the Main Stage at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit following qualifying on Saturday, April 18, while Moussa takes to the Main Fan Zone Stage on the previous day.
The race weekend runs from April 17-19, set against the Red Sea coastline at the world’s fastest street circuit.
Tyla will arrive in Jeddah following a remarkable global rise, having redefined contemporary pop, R&B and African music with her genre-blending sound.
Her breakthrough single “Water” made history as the first Spotify track by an African artist to surpass 1 billion streams, earning her the inaugural Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance in 2024.
Since then, her self-titled debut album and deluxe edition “TYLA+” have produced multiple Billboard Hot 100 entries and a second Grammy win, while recent single “Chanel” has become a global viral hit.
Moussa, one of the most influential figures in Egypt’s hip-hop scene, is celebrated for reshaping Arabic rap through fearless storytelling and a distinctive sound.
From viral singles to his acclaimed album “The Man Who Lost His Heart,” Moussa has built a record-breaking streaming presence and an expanding international fanbase, cementing his status as a leading voice of the region.
Their inclusion on the bill adds to an already star-studded entertainment lineup, with Shakira, Pitbull and Kygo also confirmed as performers across the three-day weekend.
