Shoura Council speaker leads Saudi Arabia’s delegation to Asian Parliamentary Assembly

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Abdullah Al-Asheikh headed the Kingdom’s delegation to the 16th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, held in Bahrain.

Themed “The Role of Asian Parliaments in Promoting Dialogue among Civilisations and Cultures in Asia,” the event saw the participation of over 190 representatives from 27 countries, parliaments, and international unions.

Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain Ahmed Al-Musallam praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts, carried out in partnership with France, to advance international recognition of the State of Palestine, the Saudi Press Agency said in a report.
