JEDDAH: The Jeddah Gold Exhibition opens in the Red Sea port city on Thursday as part of Jeddah Season.
Taking place at the Jeddah Superdome, the five-day event aims to raise awareness of the gold industry by highlighting the value, quality, and craftsmanship of gold while highlighting the latest designs.
It also seeks to stimulate investment and trade in the sector, reinforcing Jeddah’s long-standing reputation as a center of gold-making, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
The world’s largest connected dome has been covered in a gleaming golden layer to symbolize the theme of the event. More than 130 exhibitors, including four Saudi factories, will take part, bringing together leading exhibitors and top brand designers.
Visitors will be able to view distinctive, one-of-a-kind gold pieces reflecting high levels of craftsmanship and creativity, presented through an interactive journey that tells the story of gold from a contemporary perspective.
A dedicated zone will be allocated to Saudi factories, highlighting local and regional manufacturing capabilities and presenting the stages of gold production. The area is designed to connect visitors directly with traders, supporting the sector’s industrial and commercial aspects.
The exhibition will also feature panel discussions and workshops, attracting visitors and specialists from around the world.
The venue’s design draws inspiration from the architectural identity of historic Jeddah, with pavilions, art installations, seating areas and cafes arranged around the “Golden Ring” at the heart of the event.
