RIYADH: The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, or Monshaat, signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defense to empower the ministry’s military retirees to enter the field of entrepreneurship.
The agreement seeks to establish a support system that provides sustainable job opportunities, enabling retirees to invest their expertise in work that contributes to economic growth.
Under the deal, Monshaat and the ministry will create an attractive investment environment for the ministry’s military retirees, support entrepreneurs and implement diverse initiatives to build capabilities across various areas of entrepreneurship.
In addition, it will also provide products tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs and start-ups, as well as foster opportunities for consultancy, training and continuous development.
This move comes as part of Monshaat’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship among the Saudi Ministry of Defense’s military personnel across various fields and to addressing the challenges they might face through targeted initiatives.
