KSrelief sends aid to Gaza in response to dire weather conditions

RIYADH: Severe weather in southern Gaza prompted a swift response from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) which moved quickly to support displaced families living in camps after their tents got destroyed.

The relief effort focuses on improving emergency conditions inside the camps by reinforcing damaged tents, reducing the risk of flooding, replacing shelters that were rendered uninhabitable, and addressing water buildup in living areas. KSrelief teams are also working on the ground to assess needs and prioritize assistance for the most at-risk families, particularly women, children, and older people.

Humanitarian conditions continue to worsen amid prolonged displacement and growing hardship in the besieged enclave.

Families displaced across the Gaza Strip said assistance provided by the Kingdom through KSrelief has been essential during a period of acute crisis.  They expressed gratitude for the support, noting that it helped ease the weight of displacement and shielded them from extreme weather.

Many added that the aid offered a renewed sense of safety and hope, especially for mothers and children, despite the difficult circumstances they still face.

The intervention is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian commitment, led by KSrelief, to stand by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through the delivery of critical aid.
