RIYADH: Yemeni residents participating in the Global Harmony 2 initiative in Riyadh have praised the events as a unique platform for cultural and human exchange.

The initiative offers a chance to explore the cultural diversity of participating countries and highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting arts, heritage, and fostering fraternal bonds.

Yemen Culture Week, which is part of the initiative, continues until Nov. 28 and hosts artistic performances, folk displays, and interactive sessions that showcase Yemeni culture.

Visitor Faisal Al-Khalidi noted that the Kingdom provides a stable environment for Yemenis and other expatriates, and praised coordination among authorities to serve residents. He added that he visited with his children to introduce them to their cultural roots while broadening their horizons.

Ali Faris, who has lived in Saudi Arabia for 48 years, described the visit as joyful and expressed surprise at the scale and the spacious layout, reflecting the Kingdom’s appreciation of resident communities.

Said Baswidan, who had traveled from Jeddah with his family, said the visit was enjoyable as he emphasized the role it played as a cultural platform connecting communities. He said the visit had provided a bridge for his children, who had never visited Yemen, to learn about their culture and identity.

The culture week helps to reflect the richness and diversity of Yemeni traditions while attracting families and visitors of various nationalities to explore the country’s heritage, traditional lifestyles, and local attire.

Organized by the Ministry of Media and the General Entertainment Authority as part of the Quality of Life Program, the initiative supports Vision 2030’s goals.
