RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a series of high-level meetings on Saturday with counterparts from Egypt, France and Argentina on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Prince Faisal met with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdelatty.
The two ministers reviewed ties between their countries and discussed regional and international developments, including their impact on regional security. They also reaffirmed ongoing joint efforts to support stability in the Middle East.
The Saudi foreign minister also met with Jean-Noel Barrot, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Their talks focused on the growing Saudi-French partnership and cooperation across various fields. The ministers additionally exchanged views on recent developments in the region, as well as their security and humanitarian implications, and the efforts being made to address them.
In a separate meeting, Prince Faisal held discussions with Pablo Cuervo, Argentina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship. The talks covered bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in multiple sectors. The ministers also reviewed a range of regional and international issues of common interest.
The foreign minister also spoke with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday for similar discussions, SPA added.
