RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a phone call with US President Donald Trump to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East, including the ongoing Israeli military operations against Iran, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the call on Friday, the two leaders stressed the importance of restraint and de-escalation, and underlined the need to resolve disputes through diplomatic means, SPA added.

They also affirmed the importance of continued joint efforts to promote security, peace, and stability across the region.

Saudi defense minister meets with Qatar emir

RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman met with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Doha on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The strong relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar were reviewed and the latest regional developments and efforts to address them were discussed during the meeting. Topics of mutual interest were also spoken about.

Prince Khalid conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and their wishes of further progress and prosperity for the Qatari government and people.

In return, Sheikh Tamim sent his greetings and feelings of appreciation to the Saudi leadership.
