BEIRUT: Lebanon said eight people were killed in an Israeli strike on Saturday in the east, with state media reporting the attack on a house killed a mother and her children.
“The Israeli enemy strike on Shmostar killed eight people, including four children, and nine others were injured, including four in critical condition,” a ministry statement said, giving a preliminary toll.
The official National Nwes Agency earlier said the attack “killed a family including a mother and her four children.”

PARIS/HAMBURG: Tunisia’s state grains agency is believed to have purchased about 100,000 metric tons of soft milling wheat and about 100,000 tons of durum in an international tender for the same volume on Wednesday, European traders said.
The soft wheat was believed to have been bought at the estimated lowest price of $256.16 a ton cost and freight (c&f) included from trading house Finagrit, traders said.
The durum was believed to have been bought at the lowest price of $323.89 a ton c&f from trading house Amber, traders said.
Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
