JEDDAH, 22 August 2004 — Dr. Fahd ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Saeed has been appointed director general of the Saudi Distribution Company (SDC), an affiliate of the Saudi Research & Marketing Group. Prince Faisal ibn Salman, chairman of the group, made the appointment.

“Dr. Saeed had been assigned to administer SDC since February this year and the company posted a tremendous increase in profits in the first half of this year compared to last year,” the group said.

The new SDC chief has more than 12 years experience in administrative and leadership posts. Before joining the group, he worked as the dean of the College of Environmental Designs at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.
