RIYADH: More than 46,000 multilingual books and barcodes at the Islamic Electronic Library have been made available to pilgrims by the Madinah branch of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that the literature, which is displayed via giant electronic screens, is available for use by pilgrims arriving by air at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, and Prince Abdul Mohsin bin Abdulaziz Airport in Yanbu, as well as those arriving by land via the pilgrims’ city in Khaibar Governorate, in addition to mosque visitors in Madinah.
The Islamic Affairs branch in Makkah is providing a free Wi-Fi service for pilgrims at the Al-Tanaim and Al-Hal mosques in the Al-Ji’rranah area, and Qarn Al-Manazil and Wadi Muharram miqatas, to enable them to make use of modern technical services and digital platforms, according to the SPA.
The service will allow pilgrims to browse the ministry’s electronic services and download to smart devices via Wi-Fi at high speed. The Islamic library’s books, which include 3,000 legal scientific materials in more than 45 languages, will help pilgrims to perform their rituals.
Pilgrims can also get answers to questions about Hajj through the free service, and watch awareness and guidance videos produced by the ministry.
