RIYADH, 26 March 2004 — Sonny Marilla and Bert Oliva of the DQ Hunks 3A team sparkled in the ongoing AFTP-Spring Cup 2004 Team Tennis Tournament at the Al Yamama Hotel Sports Complex with games played every Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 5:00 to 11:30 p.m.
The Lucky Shots team of Robert Romero managed to stop the Power Brokers group of Felix Pacleb at 38-34.
Vinnell Arabia 2 mentored by Rolly Biag and Mario Flores ground the Pathfinders team at 47-30 while the DQ Hunks 3A group of Sonny Marilla and Bert Oliva stunned the Desert Scorpions at 45-28.
D’Solid Friends Smashers team of Ace Espiritu and Ben Gonzales squeezed past the Racqueteers-B group of Lito Ladio and Darwin Suson at 41-25. The Aero Balls group also beat the Assasins team 40-33.
The Al Abdulkarim Trading sponsored Racqueteers A1 group sidelined the Friends International team at 45-36.
The Volleygators tennisters of Ting Banday and Jigs Garcia beaten 40-43 by the Assasins team of Benny Dela Cruz. D’ Racqueteers A2 swept past the Minsupala group at 42-37.
