JEDDAH, 26 April — The All-Filipino Tennis Players Association (AFTPA) in cooperation with the major sponsor Al Hussaini & Co. and Yayha Trading Co. — the exclusive distributor of Seiko products — honored the winners of the recently concluded 5th Seiko-AFTPA Year End Team Tennis Tournament.

The prize giving ceremony and awards night was held at the tournament venue at the poolside of Al Bilad Hotel were anchored by Serge Taga and Rod Ramelb I.

The ceremony was graced by Vice Consul Angelo Amonoy. Whereas, Hussam Salahi, the Marketing and Sales Manager of Seiko delivered his inspirational speech.

Andy Minodin, the District Sales Executive of Singapore Airlines presented a return tickets Jeddah/Manila/Jeddah to the lucky winner Nestor Tutor of Basamh — Goody. Whereas Raoul Eden representative from Najran Mineral Water provided several gift items notwithstanding of the natural water. This tournamentt were co-sponsored by Singapore Airlines, Najran Mineral Water, Pepsi Cola Bugshan, Reebok Saudi Arabia, ABS-CBN, The Filipino Channel, and friends of AFTPA.

Results:

Category B: Champion — HEMPEL-Jaforms: Bong Andales (Captain), Popoy Macaampao, Lito Dumas, Jimboy Jimena, Vooch Maniri, Benjie Usman with their manager Regie Sanosa. Finalist — APO: Rexie Hermano (Captain), Jovy Abella, Reden Luangco, Rommel Villanueva, Adi Banuelos and Gil Abayon. Semifinalists: Saudia and BCJ.

Category B1: Champion — Hempel — Jaforms: Jun Amancio (Captain), Raymond Sy, Mel Fiesta, Venus Layoso, Benjie Usman, Charlito Lazaga, Vooch Maniri, Stephen Maradan with their manager Reggie Sanosa. Finalist — SKAB: Romy Torres (Captain), Art Simene, Jimboy Jimena, Ruben Rosario, Nonie Fayo, Paul Lauchengco, Mohshen Youse and bong Zafe. Semi Finalists: Seiko/Kinetic and BCJ/Saudi Divers.

Category B2: Champion — Express Point — Bahlas National Carpets Factory: Voie Reyes (Captain), Cromwel Marzo, Tony Mirasol, Ariel Ortilla, Ariel Lodor, Ben Briola, Arman Monasterial, Ellie Mallari, Alex Duma, Vooch Maniri with their manager Orly Mamaril. Finalist -HIDADA: Albert Arriesgado, Jun Tolentino, Ed Santiago, Roger Abarra, Francis Idjao, Mar Barro, Jake Viduya, Rashid Ranasasa, Khalid Hisham and Allan Beltran. Semi Finalists: JPTC/Siyanco and TPST-Teledesign.

Category C: Champion — Saudia Flyers: Sol Bartolome (Captain), Emil Dy, Eddie Dumalaon, Ariel Regis, Roy Samonte, Ernie Hayahay, Leo Lutero, Ali Ijiran, Francis Aquino and romyBaquerfo. Finalist — Basamh — Goody: Andrew Villan (Captain), Nestor Tutor, , Rey Diega, Hermie Rabadon, Eric Abrantes, Daniel Acierto, Bien Islanan, Raul Pacupac, jojo Aran and Danny Marinao. Semi Finalists: RB — Renegade Boys 1 and TPST — Teledesign. Quarter finalists: SV Bombers, SV Inter Cafe Hidada, and JPTC/Siyanco.

Best in Uniform — Basahm — Goody (Class C), Seiko (Class B2), Saudia (Class B1). Best Mascot Meliza Fiesta — Class C, Gherickson Nazaire — Class B2 and Meliza Jedh Fiesta — Class B1.

One day affair termed as Officers Day Tournament held recently participated by different clubs/players were outstandingly awarded trophies to all the winners. Group 1: Ding Miranda, Gerry Nazaire, Serge Taga, Gino Ruperez, Efren Bulatao, Nestor Sorosoro, Rommel Cortez, Rodolfo Cornejo, Gerry Alcantara and Ernie Carsolin. Group 2: Jun Amancio, Bob Palma, Jimmy Valero, Jong Bulatao, Reggie Sanosa, Rod Lofamia, Toto Manalo, Francis Idjao and Boy Tan.
