Saudi envoy to UN meets Polish ambassador in Geneva

  • The pair discussed the importance of the partnership between the Kingdom and the global organization as well as ways to enhance their cooperation in all aspects of humanitarian work

GENEVA: Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Abdulmohsen Majed bin Khothaila met the permanent representative of Poland to the UN, Ambassador Zbigniew Czech, in Geneva on Tuesday.

They discussed several topics of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.

Khothaila also met Michelle Bachelet, the UN’s high commissioner for human rights, on Monday.

During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and the commission were reviewed, with the two leaders assessing opportunities to strengthen their links.

Last week, Khothaila met the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer in Geneva.

The pair discussed the importance of the partnership between the Kingdom and the global organization as well as ways to enhance their cooperation in all aspects of humanitarian work.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a letter from King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain on Thursday about relations between their countries.

It was delivered by Bahrain’s ambassador to the Kingdom, Sheikh Ali Al-Khalifa, during a meeting with the deputy foreign minister, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The minister and the ambassador reviewed Saudi-Bahraini relations and ways in which they might be strengthened and developed in all fields.
