Saudi envoy to UN meets Red Cross chief in Geneva

  • The pair discussed ways to boost bilateral ties and looked at ways to work together more closely within the framework of international organizations

GENEVA: Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Abdulmohsen Majed bin Khothaila met the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer in Geneva on Tuesday.

The pair discussed the importance of the partnership between the Kingdom and the global organization as well as ways to enhance their cooperation in all aspects of humanitarian work.

On Monday, Khothaila met Singapore’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Umej Bhatia.

The pair discussed ways to boost bilateral ties and looked at ways to work together more closely within the framework of international organizations.

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher in Davos on Friday.

During the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it were discussed, Saudi Press Agency reported.
