ISLAMABAD, 1 June — An accountability court yesterday sentenced a former general manager of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Ltd. to seven years’ jail term and fined him 100 million rupees on graft charges. Khushi Muhammad Bhutto has been barred from taking loan from any bank or financial institution for 10 years. Bhutto has been charged with misuse of official powers and accumulating assets through illegal means. The accused maintained foreign currency accounts running into millions of dollars. — Shakil Shaikh
