RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman received a congratulatory cable from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, following the success of the medical examinations he conducted at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.
Abbas wished the king good health, safety and a long life, and for the Kingdom and its people more prosperity.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also received a similar cable of congratulations on the king’s successful medical examinations.

Digital platform streamlines iftar at holy mosques
MAKKAH: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched a digital mechanism to organize the Ramadan iftar program for fasting individuals.
Developed in collaboration with the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work and the Nusuk Foundation, the system aims to enhance governance, transparency and operational efficiency.
The streamlined process begins with individuals and nonprofit organizations registering on the authority’s official website, followed by secure payment processing through the Ehsan platform.
Once the transaction is confirmed, iftar meal arrangements are finalized, and a formal permit is issued to the donor, ensuring a transparent and documented workflow from start to finish.
