RIYADH: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Red Sea Development Co. to maintain the environmental sustainability of the Red Sea’s waterfront, protect and improve its natural habitats, and ensure that development processes do not affect the waterfront’s ecosystem, the Saudi Press Agecny reported on Thursday.
Under the MoU, the two parties will cooperate to facilitate the procedures for obtaining the necessary environmental permits for the project, provided it complies with the environmental compliance standards applied in the Kingdom.

Jeddah governor attends ceremony marking Kuwait National Day

JEDDAH: Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi attended a ceremony in Jeddah on Sunday to mark Kuwait’s National Day.
Prince Saud was received by Kuwait’s Consul General Yousef Abdullah Al-Tunaib and other consulate officials, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri, director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah, and members of the diplomatic corps, were also in attendance.
