RIYADH: A night of music icons will form the curtain raiser to a historic weekend for Saudi Arabia with Usher, Chris Brown and Akon set to perform as part of the Diriyah Music Festival the night before the world heavyweight title boxing fight: The Clash On The Dunes.

On Dec. 6, the three performers will take to the stage in the latest superstar concert complementing the sports events of the month-long Diriyah Season.

For Usher, it will be the first chance for his loving fans in Saudi Arabia to enjoy the icon’s hits such as “Burn”, “Love In This Club” and “No Limit” sung live by their hero.

For Chris Brown and Akon, it will be their second visit to the Kingdom this year, with the former performing hits such as “No Air” and “Don’t Wake Me Up” for crowds in July and the Senegalese-American singer delighting fans in Damman in March with his hits such as “Lonely”, “Right Now” and “Beautiful.”

The epic evening takes place the night before boxing comes to the Diriyah Arena on Dec. 7, with World Champion Andy Ruiz Jr. taking on Anthony Joshua in The Clash On The Dunes. Ticket holders for the fight will also enjoy free access to the concert.

Usher has won numerous awards and accolades including eight Grammy Awards and 18 Billboard Music Awards. At the end of 2009, Billboard named him the second-most successful artist of the decade.
