King Salman congratulates Modi on election victory

RIYADH: King Salman telephoned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to congratulate him on his victory in India's general election.
King Salman wished Modi success and the people of India prosperity.

The prime minister thanked King Salman for the phone call and stressed his keeness to promote and develop relations between the two countries.
Modi secured another five-year term as prime minister after winning a landslide general election victory on Thursday.

Saudi FM arrives in Germany ahead of Munich Security Conference

  • Prince Faisal and other dignitaries are scheduled to discuss key regional and international issues, as well as challenges facing global security and stability at the conference

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Munich on Thursday to head the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the Munich Security Conference, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Kingdom's delegation to the conference includes Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority Majed bin Mohammed Al-Mazyed, and CEO of the Center for Strategic Defense Studies and Research Major General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Otaibi.

Prince Faisal and other dignitaries are scheduled to discuss key regional and international issues, as well as challenges facing global security and stability at the conference.

The 62nd Munich Security Conference will take place from February 13 to 15.
