JEDDAH: Saudi Border Guards have thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs into the Kingdom using a jet-ski.
Officers found more than 31,000 Captagon pills on the jet-ski when they intercepted it off the coast of Tabuk.
The jet-ski laden with the amphetamines was being driven by an Egyptian national, who was arrested, SPA reported. It was unclear when the haul was seized.
Meanwhile, Border Guards thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 300kg of cannabis into the Kingdom.
Two Yemeni nationals were caught trying to bring the drugs in to Najran province on Friday.
A Border Guards spokesman said the suspects were arrested.

ABIDJAN: Saudi Fund for Development CEO Sultan Al-Marshad recently met with Cote d’Ivoire’s Economy, Planning and Development Minister Niale Kaba in Abidjan.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance development cooperation in vital sectors in Cote d’Ivoire, the SFD stated on X on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire Saad Al-Qathami was present at the meeting.
