ISLAMABAD: Fawad Chaudhry, federal minister for information and broadcasting in Pakistan, met Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, the ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad, at his office on Wednesday, and discussed issues relating to bilateral ties.
“In the meeting they discussed ways to boost cooperation in the field of media and the arts,” the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad said in a tweet.
Earlier this year, in the first week of September, Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad visited Pakistan and met the country’s leadership including Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
During that visit the Saudi information minister also met his Pakistani counterpart Fawad Chaudhry, and they discussed how the two allies could further broaden and deepen their relationship in these areas.
