RIYADH: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) on Tuesday signed an agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to carry out two projects in Yemen for treating and preventing cholera, valued at $22,740,133.
The agreement was signed by Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, adviser at the Royal Court and general supervisor of KSRelief, and a WHO representative.
The two projects aim to support cholera treatment programs in Yemen; improve treatment of suspected cases; control the spread of the infection to prevent the occurrence of a cholera epidemic; and coordinating and cooperating at local and international levels in the field of water sanitation.
The projects will be implemented under the guidance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense of Saudi Arabia.
