Phone networks update carrier names to welcome Saudi National Day

JEDDAH: Phone companies in Saudi Arabia updated their carrier names on customer phones, ahead of the Kingdom’s national day on Saturday.
Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and Mobily, the two largest phone firms in Saudi Arabia, updated their carrier names on devices garnering praise on Social media.
STC customers now see 'LOVE U KSA’ when they check their phone’s status bar with their Mobily comrades getting ‘KSA 4 EVER’ as their new carrier name.
“Ksa 4 ever & Proud to be saudi,” tweeted a Mobily customer, “Love U KSA , I'm so proud to be one of your citizens,” said another twitter user.
Saudi Arabia will celebrate its 87th National Day on 23rd September with a number of entertainment events across the country.

Saudi leadership sends cables of condolences after passing of former Cyprus president

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent separate cables of condolences to the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulide after the passing of one of his predecessors.
Former Cyprus President George Vassiliou died on Wednesday aged 94. He led the country between 1988 and 1993.
The king and crown prince also extended their condolences to the family of the deceased and the people of Cyprus, Saudi Press Agency reported.
