Explosive device kills officer in Qatif

JEDDAH: An Emergency Forces officer was killed and two other officers were injured late Sunday night after being attacked with an explosive device by unidentified suspects in Al-Masoura District in Qatif.
The deceased, Major Tariq bin Abdullatif Al-Allaqi, and two other officers were patrolling the area when they were hit by the explosive, the spokesman added.
The injured were taken to the hospital and their condition is stable, Saudi Press Agency quoted a Ministry of Interior spokesman as saying.
