Luxury in every bite at The Globe

The Globe is the signature restaurant of Al-Faisaliah hotel in Riyadh. This unique restaurant offers the best of the best in terms of location, cuisine and ambiance.
It is located atop Al-Faisaliah tower, where diners can have elegant meals as well as a magical view. Within this dramatic three-story dome, delicious modern European cuisine and sweeping panoramic views of the city come together to create an unmatched Riyadh fine dining experience.
The entrance is very private and you must walk through security into two different elevators that take you to the top floor of Al-Faisaliah tower. The restaurant is very elegant and comprises two stories, one for singles and the other for families. The upper floor also hosts private events. The restaurant can seat up to 75 diners at once. The tables are all placed next to the windows overviewing Riyadh from the top. The Globe’s floors are covered with red and maroon luxurious carpets and the walls with dark red fabric, which works great at night along with dim lights and candles on every table.
The first floor consists of the reception area that fits up to 25 people for a small event or for special afternoon tea.
The Globe offers international cuisine with a European inspiration. The higher floor comprises a cigar lounge with a very luxurious décor offering the same menu. At The Globe’s exclusive Asir Lounge, modern elegance rubs shoulders with an outstanding ambiance. In sophisticated comfort, guests savor light meals and Saudi Arabia’s most spectacular sunsets.
There is a chef seasonal menu, The Globe tasting menu and a regular menu. The Globe tasting menu offers smoked Carabinnero prawns with Gazpacho Andaluz. The hot spring egg is an interesting choice made with truffle, spinach and potatoes and so is the seared duck foie gras topped with apricot, celeriac root and rosemary. There is also the Black Angus beef tenderloin made with lentils, raisins and mint. The menu ends with a variety of hot drinks and sorbets.
The regular menu offers more choice with guaranteed deliciousness. The Canadian lobster is made exactly how it should be, it is served with a side of cauliflower, green peas and apple. Another great cold appetizer is the Celeriac apple salad comprising red chard and walnuts. This is the perfect season for soups to warm you. Try the Cream Hokkaido Pumpkin consisting of blue cheese ravioli as well as the Chicken Consomme, made with pan-fried goose livers and pineapple.
For hot appetizers, try the Canadian scallop gratin, made with Sichuan truffle and green leeks, drizzled with Hollandaise sauce
The main course menu is no less fascinating. The Turbot fillet and tiger prawns are complemented nicely with the flavors of avocado and cauliflower. The roasted Hamour fillet comes with a Mediterranean twist as it is served with cous cous, capsicum, date and lime and olive oil sauce. The seafood risotto is a great choice, comprising carabinero prawn, scallops, bouchot mussels and spinach. My personal favorite is the roasted lamb loin served with a side of rosemary risotto, mushrooms, tomato and goat cheese.
Another interesting choice is the chicken breast and foie gras comprising olive potato, ratatouille and rosemary.

If you are a steak lover, you will be impressed by the choices at The Globe. There’s everything, from their premium Australian beef selection of different cuts such as rib-eye, sirloin and tenderloin to meats of Black Angus and Wagyu. The rib-eye comes with a side of potato gratin, spinach and porcini, the sirloin comes with polenta cake, green asparagus and béarnaise sauce, while the tenderloin comes with a side of lentils, raisins and mint.
You can also ask the waiter for recommendations and he will be able to draw your whole meal plan, from appetizers to drinks and desserts.
I would highly recommend you visit this beautiful, high-end restaurant at night because that way, you will be able to have the best experience with the majestic view of the capital city.
