Seven inmates dead, 17 injured in South Carolina prison fighting

Inmates were left to fight for more than seven hours before authorities regained control of the maximum-security prison.
South Carolina Department of Corrections tweeted that the deaths happened as a result of multiple inmate-on-inmate altercations in three housing units.
