This virtual pop-up is supporting Arab designers
A new virtual pop-up supporting 16 established and emerging designers from the Middle East and North Africa launched on Aug. 1. Entitled “Eastwave,” the digital platform features a curated selection of brands spanning from ready-to-wear, accessories and jewelry.

Founded by Egyptian-French designer Mariam Yeya in 2016, the Dubai-based womenswear label is known for its glamorous and avant-garde pieces.

The Lebanese-born Dubai-based designer’s eponymous accessories brand specializes in edgy clutches and handbags.

The contemporary womenswear label, founded by Lebanese designer Jessica Khoueiri Achkar, was established ten-years-ago. In addition to clothing, the brand also boasts jewelry, including necklaces and earrings.

Based between Los Angeles and Cairo, the jewelry label was founded by Amany Shaker in 2015. The brand’s pieces have been sported by US actress Emma Roberts, among others.

The jewelry brand is the brainchild of Lebanese designer Nadine Kanso and is coveted for its bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings featuring the Arabic script.

The up-and-coming Lebanese brand founded by Salim Cherfane is known for its bold, colorful and geometric designs. The brand made waves back in Nov. 2019 after it was spotted on international superstar Beyonce.
