JEDDAH: The Ministry of Interior has issued a directive to change the name of the Saher system to “The Advanced Traffic Safety Project”, local media reported Thursday, quoting a source.
The new operating company has now issued instructions to all its employees to refrain from using the term Saher in external or internal reports, the source at the Saudi Company for Comprehensive Technical and Safety Control, Ltd. was quoted as saying.
The new operator also met with the staff of the project’s three operating companies before the contracts and services were transferred to it.
The new company will work under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior. It has set dates to meet with all employees to sign contracts, as per the guidelines of the head of each department about the number of employees and the appropriate time.
The new company began transferring nearly 4,000 employees of the previous three operating companies on Nov. 1.
