JEDDAH: The Red Sea International Film Festival and Film AlUla have teamed up to offer support grants for filmmakers intending to shoot their films in AlUla.

Film AlUla is the leading developer of the cinema and TV industry in the city, with the aim of supporting filmmakers from the Kingdom, the Middle East, and North Africa.

The Red Sea International Film Festival says that financial assistance will be given to at least 10 films but that number could rise in the future.

The festival has urged applicants to use AlUla’s resorts and natural surroundings, including rock formations, mountains and valleys in their submissions.
