KARACHI: The mission of United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday distributed Eid clothes among widows and orphans in Pakistan’s Sindh and Balochistan provinces, according to the UAE embassy.
“With the generous support of H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chair of the General Women’s Union and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Eid clothing project in the Sindh and Balochistan regions for children, women, widows and orphans [has been] launched,” the UAE embassy in Islamabad said in a tweet.
Similar project was also initiated in Islamabad where the UAE embassy in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent, distributed Eid clothes among more than 3000 children, women, widows and orphans.
In a separate statement shared on the micro blogging website, the UAE embassy extended its gratitude to all charitable and humanitarian organizations in UAE and Islamic Republic of Pakistan, local governments and individuals for their great contributions in the success of charity work throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
