ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, on Friday called on Pakistan senate chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjarani at the Parliament House and discussed a range of issues, with a particular focus on trade.
Saudi Arabia, home to over two million Pakistani workers, is the single largest source of remittances to Pakistan.
“Saudi investment in various sectors of Pakistan is commendable,” the senate chairman told the Saudi Ambassador according to a statement released by his office. “The huge investment is a testament to the confidence of the Saudi leadership and investors in Pakistan … Trade, economy and investment will help take the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries to new heights.”
The two leaders also discussed strengthening parliamentary relations “through parliamentary diplomacy” and agreed on a “common goal” of regional prosperity and development through mutual cooperation.
