ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Raja Ali Ejaz called on the Kingdom’s Education Minister Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Shaikh on Thursday to discuss issues related to the Pakistan International Schools among other matters of mutual interest.

According to a handout circulated by the embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, the envoy briefed the minister about steps taken by the relevant authorities in his country to improve the education standards and infrastructure of these education institutions. He also noted that the knowledge requirements of Pakistani expatriates had grown over the years due to the large number of Pakistani nationals residing in the Kingdom.

The ten Pakistan International Schools in the Kingdom are striving to provide better educational facilities to the children of overseas Pakistanis, said the handout. In the same context, the ambassador discussed some challenges and difficulties being faced by these education facilities as they try to meet the knowledge requirements of one of the largest expatriate communities in the Kingdom.

“The Minister appreciated the role played by Pakistani International Schools in providing quality education and offered his fullest support for further improving and strengthening educational and infrastructure requirements of the schools,” the handout added.

It continued that the ambassador expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Saudi minister of education for supporting the efforts for the betterment of the Pakistan International Schools in the Kingdom.
