Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz received Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar at the royal palace in Riyadh on Tuesday, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Qaiser was accompanied by a three-member parliamentary delegation. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud and Chairman of the Saudi Shoura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Saudi National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Raja Ali Ejaz were also present during the meeting, the SPA said.
The Pakistani delegation arrived in Riyadh on Dec. 22 to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries where the two sides inked an MoU in this regard on Monday.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s National Assembly secretariat said in an official statement that the king recalled close and fraternal ties between the two countries during the meeting and acknowledged positive contribution by Pakistanis in the development and progress of Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always enjoyed strong brotherly relations and have lately worked to promote bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.
