ISLAMABAD: Foreign minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said on Monday he was resolved to enhance the strategic partnership between Islamabad and Riyadh, the Pakistan foreign office said.
Qureshi reiterated this during a telephone call with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir in which issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, were discussed.
“There are decades-old, long-standing and deep, fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia,” Qureshi was quoted by the foreign office as saying, adding that he was determined to “further enhance strategic partnership with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.”
The two foreign ministers stressed the need to promote bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in various fields, the foreign office said.
