ISLAMABAD: The Kashmir Committee (KC) in Jeddah, on Thursday, marked 'Kashmir Black Day' in Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their 'demand for their right to self-determination.'
The KC unanimously adopted a resolution condemning what the committee described as an ongoing human rights violations in Indian forces.
“We call upon India to immediately stop the gross, systematic and state sponsored human rights violations in Kashmir and allow international human rights and humanitarian organisations an unhindered access to the occupied state,” reads the resolution.
The resolution Condemned, "the firing by Indian forces on the Line of Control (LoC) with intentional targeting of civilian areas."
Lauding Pakistan for its unconditional political, moral and diplomatic support for the Kashmiris, the KC appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani government to highlight. " the atrocities committed by the Indian security forces in IoK at international fora including the United Nations." said the resolution
The resolution also expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for their consistent support to the Kashmiri struggle.
