RAWALPINDI: UAE’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi met with the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss matters of mutual interest between the two countries at the army’s headquarters in Rawalpindi, on Thursday, according to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Abu Dhabi, UAE’s capital, along with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Finance Minister Asad Umar. During his visit, PM Khan met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to the press release, General Bajwa also met with Al-Zaabi in May this year to discuss the UAE-Pakistan Assistance Program projects which are currently underway in Pakistan.
