‘Historical sites well-preserved’

MADINAH: Malaysian pilgrim Nadim Hussain, on his first visit to the Kingdom, said he feels very comfortable and happy in Madinah, especially when he’s in Masjid Al-Nabawi.
The pilgrim visited historical sites such as the Uhud battlefield and Al-Khanduq, and also offered prayers at Quba, Qiblatain and the other mosques. “Madinah’s rich historical and heritage sites have been well-preserved,” he told Arab News.
Hussain said he was amazed with the development in Madinah. “I liked the international-style malls, fancy hotels and wide streets.”
He praised the facilitations the Kingdom provides to the pilgrims. “I used to see development projects in Malaysia, but never thought I’d see such projects in the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah like the expansion project,” he said.
Hussain said that the Kingdom does not spare any effort in serving the pilgrims. The Umrah trip cost him around SR6,000, he added.
