MADINAH: Egyptian pilgrim Tal’at Salah had last visited Makkah and Madinah in 1998. On a second Umrah visit recently, he found a sea change in and around the Two Holy Mosques.
“I was extremely happy to perform Umrah at Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah. It was easy and smooth,” Salah told Arab News in Madinah.
He was on top of the Al Rumah Mountain at Uhud when he expressed his happiness about being able to do Umrah and about his experience.
Salah appreciated the development projects in the Two Holy cities. “The Kingdom has been always striving to enhance services in different fields, particularly for Haj and Umrah pilgrims. The expansion projects in Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah and at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah are proof in this regard.”
The pilgrim said he would spending most of his time at the Prophet’s Mosque and perform prayers there. He also visited many historical sites and famous mosques. The trip cost him around SR5,200, he added.
