There was significant snowfall over large areas of Al-Aqlan province in Tabuk on Friday, the result of a cold snap that has already hit Turkey, Jordan, Palestinian territories and Lebanon.
The Civil Defense is prepared for the inclement weather, said Col. Mamdouh Al-Enzi, media spokesman for the body in Tabuk.
He said residents in the region should be careful while driving and avoid valleys and other dangerous areas. Snow is expected to blanket several northern areas in the Kingdom this weekend, including Al-Jouf, Rafah and Tareef.
