Mobily has added another success at the operational level of its network during the Haj season.
Mobily confirmed that more than 70 percent growth in data traffic in comparison with last year rate during the “Tarwiya” day before the pilgrims move to Arafat.
Mobily’s preparations succeeded in absorbing the smooth flow of all calls, whether locally or internationally, where the performance of central centers reflected tangible success in overcoming any bottlenecks.
The company has prepared seven major central call centers in Makkah and the Holy places, two of them are international with high capacities to pass all the pilgrims international calls to all countries of the world.
The company confirmed on intensifying its efforts for the day of “Arafah” to accommodate the expected increase in the number of calls and data traffic. Mobily has completed significant enhancements in its infrastructure as well as connecting the towers with fiber optic network which will contribute to pass calls smoothly and easily.
Mobily says the success of its network infrastructure is attributed to the advanced technologies and expansions introduced by Mobily to networks before the Haj season in order to accommodate the largest number of users at one time.
The Internet wireless network via Wi-Fi technology provided by the company free of charge to pilgrims has been very successful in facing the growing demand by the workers in Haj, whether governmental agencies or service providers on the local and international levels, as well as media staff. Mobily aims in the continuation of providing this free service, to promote the company’s programs of social responsibility, in addition to its commitment to reflect the positive image of the kingdom to all international missions.
