Afridi demands explanation for reference in Bollywood movie

MUMBAI: The trailer of Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam’s forthcoming film, “Total Siyapaa,” was recently released. Since the film is a light-hearted comedy, the makers decided to make funny references to public figures.
The trailer that was recently released makes a reference to popular Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi. However, the cricketer doesn’t seem to have taken it too well. Afridi’s name has been used in the film. The cricketer recently saw the trailer of the movie and was keen to know in what context the makers have used his name. Afridi has also written to them, demanding the same, magnamags.com reported.
The movie, which revolves around a love story of an Indian girl and a Pakistani boy, has some hilarious moments in it. A glimpse of that has also been featured in the trailer. The makers are quite confident of this being taken in absolute jest.
Ali Zafar, one of the stars featuring in the film, said “The banter shown in the trailer is just a part of a conversation between the lead actors and it surely doesn’t end there. There is a lot more in the film than just that. People are going to have a lot of fun watching ‘Total Siyapaa’.”
