JEDDAH: A forum is to be held later this month to help Saudi women develop skills to be successful. The forum — entitled “Saudi Women of Tomorrow” — is to be held on March 26 and has been organized by Orbits of Development for Empowerment Consultants (ODEC) in cooperation with Dar Al-Hekmah College.
The event aims to explain to participants the skills and attitude required to help Saudi women develop themselves and become successful.
Speaking about ODEC, the organization’s Director Lama Al-Ghalayini said: “ODEC is a consultancy center for women’s empowerment.”
Commenting on the event’s purpose, she added: “Our research showed that some women cannot participate in the market in spite of not having difficulties. At the same time, some women overcame difficulties to reach their goals.”
Al-Ghalayini added that gaining skills and becoming empowered is more important than regulations. “When a woman becomes self-confident, she can achieve success outside her society too,” she said.
The forum also aims to stimulate the energies of creativity and motivate young women to face future challenges.
The forum is mainly targets fresh graduates, new recruits, job seekers, university and college students, high school students and women aspiring success.
“We want to develop the abilities of Saudi women. Many young Saudis lack working skills,” Al-Ghalayini added.
The forum will comprise seven sessions, each addressed by one or two speakers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
