JEDDAH: Teams trying to steer clear of relegation zone play each other in two of three matches today in the Saudi Professional League.

Najran hosts Al-Raid in Najran in a postponed match from round 8. Najran is ninth in the standings with 15 points and Raid 10th with 12 points.

Both teams are seeking a victory that would prevent them from being relegated to the First Division.

A similar case applies in the match between Al-Watani and Abha in Tabuk in round 19. Both teams need three points to get out of the bottom of the standings.

Watani is dead last in with 9 points and Abha 11th with 10 points.

A win will make a big difference especially to Watani who like Abha is fighting to avoid relegation to the First Division.

The third and last match of the day is a postponed match from round 11 between Al-Hazem and Al-Ahli in Al-Rass. The three points is very important for the Ahli as it tries to stay in the top four and even dislodge Al-Shabab at third place.

Ahli has a perfect chance of increasing the points to 31 equal to Shabab, which is in third place. But the goal difference tilts in favor of Ahli. Al-Hazem is eighth in the standings with 17 points.
