King Faisal University Emerges Basketball Champs

The basketball championship also concluded last weekend with King Faisal University as the basketball champions. The game was also played at the PSU campus and was between King Faisal University and Al Jubail Industrial College with a 78-56 score.

This is the final stage of the first SANCAA tournament, which was launched early April. The groundbreaking sports initiative was with the support of PSU and was organized by SANCAA. SANCAA has created an opportunity for young Saudi athletes all over the Kingdom to compete in an officially organized annual championship.

SANCAA founders Peter Goward of Australia and Sven Kelly of Germany were pleased with the participation coming from all regions of the Kingdom.

They have both now handed over the reins of SANCAA to an executive foundation committee. This committee has already voted to make PSU the head office for SANCAA after its efficient and professional handling of the project so far.
