Closing Bell: Saudi main index rises to close at 10,589 

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index rose on Thursday, gaining 45.62 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 10,589.72. 

The total trading turnover of the benchmark index reached SR4.60 billion ($1.23 billion), with 112 stocks advancing and 129 declining. 

Similarly, the Kingdom’s parallel market Nomu gained 65.17 points, or 0.30 percent, to close at 21,834.98, with 40 stocks advancing and 26 declining.  

The MSCI Tadawul Index gained 11.23 points, or 0.80 percent, to close at 1,423.43.     

Top gainers, losers 

The best-performing stock of the day was Tabuk Agricultural Development Co., whose share price surged 10 percent to SR10.34. 

Other top performers included Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co., whose share price rose 7.14 percent to SR69, followed by Takween Advanced Industries Co., whose share price surged 6.91 percent to SR4.95. 

The Co. for Cooperative Insurance recorded the steepest decline, with its share price falling 9.99 percent to SR122.60. 

Methanol Chemicals Co. also saw its share price fall 9.98 percent to SR35.90. 

Riyadh Cement Co. declined 5.14 percent to SR20.87.  

Top announcements

Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Co. reported its interim financial results for the six-month period ended June 30.

According to a Tadawul statement, the company recorded a net profit of SR498 million in the first six months of the year, up 11.38 percent from the same period in 2025.

The increase was primarily driven by higher property sales. Higher finance costs were partially offset by increased lease revenue, lower operating expenses, and higher non-operating income from Islamic Murabaha deposits, supporting net profit. 

Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Co. ended the session at SR18.20, up 0.55 percent. 

Astra Industrial Group also reported its interim financial results for the first six months of 2026.  

A Tadawul filing showed that the company recorded a net profit of SR365 million for the six-month period ending June 30, up 5.3 percent year on year.

The growth in net profit was primarily driven by higher gross profit across all business segments, coupled with lower finance costs. The company also benefited from lower general and administrative expenses in its steel industries segment during the corresponding period last year, following the reversal of excess accruals.

The increase was driven by higher gross profit and lower finance costs, while lower general and administrative expenses in the steel industries segment following the reversal of excess accruals also supported earnings. 

Astra Industrial Group ended the session at SR123, down 0.9 percent.
