BAHA: More than 130 cyclists will take part in the Baha Cycling Tour, which is being hosted under the patronage of Baha Gov. Prince Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz and organized under the Ministry of Sport.
The tour is part of the Baha Summer 2026 program, which includes sightseeing rides through several governorates and tourist and historical sites across the region. Competitions take place from July 30 to Aug. 3, covering a total distance of more than 370 km.
The rides allow participants to discover Baha’s natural and heritage attractions while enjoying its moderate climate and scenic landscapes.
The tour promotes sports tourism and highlights the region’s mountain routes and diverse natural environment, which provide ideal conditions for cycling. It also encourages a culture of sports and following a healthy lifestyle.
Alongside this, Tuesday saw the launch of the ninth Al-Atawilah Heritage Festival, also part of the Baha Summer program, in Al-Qura governorate. Government, private and nonprofit entities are taking part in the event, which aims to highlight and preserve Baha’s heritage as a key tourism and cultural asset.
Attractions include displays of traditional clothing and foods produced by local families, live demonstrations of stone building and carving, traditional farming and harvesting practices, and art exhibits.
