Najran summer festival attracts 10,000 visitors

  • Najran Municipality Spokesperson Abdullah Al-Fadel said the heritage tent drew broad participation from artisans and families working in the cottage industry, showcasing a wide range of traditional goods

NAJRAN: The heritage tent activities at the Najran Summer 2026 Festival, organized by the Najran Municipality, attracted more than 10,000 visitors and enthusiasts of traditional heritage.

The 12-day event, which concluded on Friday, also held an auction of traditional janbiya daggers.

Najran Municipality Spokesperson Abdullah Al-Fadel said the heritage tent drew broad participation from artisans and families working in the cottage industry, showcasing a wide range of traditional goods, including palm-frond products, women’s silver jewelry, Najrani attire, cooking utensils, and food products, most notably locally produced ghee. Also featured were a heritage museum, a classic car exhibition, artistic installations, and displays demonstrating leatherworking, blacksmithing, and traditional janbiya making.

Al-Fadel added that the tent also included a traditional gathering area inspired by the upper reception rooms of mud-brick homes to welcome guests, offering an experience that reflects Najran’s renowned hospitality and the authenticity of the region’s traditional architecture.
