Pakistan extends condolences to Saudi Arabia after helicopter crash kills 14

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday extended condolences to Saudi Arabia after a helicopter crash killed 14 people, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom in “this hour of national grief.”

The helicopter belonging to ⁠Saudi Aramco crashed in Ras ⁠Tanura, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing a source at the Ministry of Energy.

All 14 passengers onboard were Saudi citizens.

“Pakistan extends heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of the Kingdom,” Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on X.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this tragic accident and their grieving families. Pakistan stands in complete and unwavering solidarity with our Saudi brethren in this hour of national grief.”

The cause of the crash was unknown ⁠and ⁠an investigation was ongoing, according to the SPA.

“The energy ministry extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims, praying that God grants them mercy and forgiveness and accepts them among the martyrs,” the SPA added.
