Riyadh Air launches daily direct flights between Riyadh and Dubai

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier Riyadh Air launched daily direct flights between Riyadh and Dubai on June 18, operated by its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flight RX243 departed King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh at 2:05 p.m. Saudi time and arrived at Dubai International Airport at 5pm UAE time. The return flight, RX244, departed Dubai at 6:30 p.m. UAE time and arrived in Riyadh at 7:20pm Saudi time.

Dubai is Riyadh Air’s third destination launched as part of the carrier’s strategy to connect the Kingdom with major regional and global hubs, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The airline aims to provide an advanced travel experience featuring premium seating, modern in-flight entertainment systems, high levels of comfort, and Saudi hospitality.

The new route expands travel options for business and leisure travelers and supports economic and tourism ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE amid growing demand for travel between the two cities.

Riyadh Air received four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in June as part of its expansion plans and aims to serve 100 destinations worldwide by 2030.
